About Mrs. Lipe

Updated Summer 2018:
Hello students and families! My name is Mrs. Lipe and I am so excited to be your teacher! I look forward to getting to know each of you this year, and wanted to share a little about my background with you.

I was born and raised in Austin, Texas and ever since I was about 4 years old, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I earned my teaching degree from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, and have never looked back! I was home with my kids (Emily and John) for many years, but this is my tenth year to teach in RRISD,  and my sixth year at Elsa England. John turned 8 years old in January, and I am so excited to have him in third grade here at England. My daughter Emily will be 16 in September, and she will be a sophomore at Round Rock High School.

Besides teaching, I love to spend time with my kids and husband, Joel, and our sweet Chihuahua, Zoey. Reading is my favorite hobby, closely followed by working out. I also do a lot of digital scrapbooking of family pictures.

I know we are going to have an incredible year of learning and growing! We are going to go on fabulous adventures through the books we share, write stories that will WOW our readers, exercise our brains with real world math challenges, and so much more!  I consider it a privilege to teach every child in my classroom, and value the relationships we will build in our classroom community.  Please don’t ever hesitate to contact me with comments, questions, or concerns.

I can be reached via email at Wendy_Lipe@roundrockisd.org, or via phone at 512-704-1288.
