Week in Review: May 15-19

I will be out on Friday for my daughter's 8th grade end of year awards assembly, so I am posting the blog early.  Our week has been filled with a lot of great work:

• Persuasive reading and writing (be sure to read their arguments for or against summer homework in their Thursday folders)
• A final math assessment over addition and subtraction with the standard algorithm (graded tests came home today in Thursday folders)
• Finishing up our timeline in social studies (on display for Spotlight Night!)
• Learning about the solar system in science (final science test next week)

 It was great to see everyone who came out for Spotlight Night, and we wanted to share the slideshow our class created in case you had to miss it. It is a great recap of our entire year!
